Meet Dr. Franz

Sarah Franz, DVM, MPH

Dr. Sarah Franz graduated from the University Of Florida College Of Veterinary Medicine. She has extensive experience in critical care, emergency and routine surgery and internal medicince. Prior to joining the team at St. Johns Veterinary Hospital she worked at both general veterinary medical practice and emergency hospitals. Care of pets with cancer is also an area of special interest for her.

While obtaining her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine she also received a Masters degree in Public Health with a special interest in epidemiology. She is an author of four research studies in bone physiology.

Dr. Franz is married to Dr. Matt Young who is also an associate veterinarian at our hospital. Dr. Franz and her husband enjoy life with their cats and three dogs: Jack (their senior Dachshund), Ruger (their rescued Doberman Pinscher), and Beretta (their black Labrador Retriever).
