Meet Dr. Bynum

Mara Bynum, DVM


Dr. Bynum is a graduate of Lincoln Memorial University, College of Veterinary Medicine. She attended Florida State University for her undergraduate education and received a Bachelors Degree Cum Laude with minors in Biological Science and Chemistry

She completed research projects on the use of probiotics in shelter cats and leukocyte profiling of wildlife populations while at the veterinary college.

Her veterinary interests include preventative and internal medicine. She enjoys working with her clients and their beloved pets. Her goal is to effectively and compassionately communicate to provide the best care for her patients and their people

Dr. Bynum is committed to promoting animal health in underserved communities. She has volunteered her time to care for exotic animals in Honduras, pets and livestock in Nicaragua and cheetahs, at the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Center in Southern Africa.

Dr. Bynum was married at a beach wedding in Ponte Vedra. She and her husband Trent have a pet family that includes two green cheek conures, three cats and two dogs.
