Dr. Heidi Abrecht

Dr. Abrecht examines a dogs eyes with an ophthalmoscopeDr. Abrecht is a graduate of The Ohio State University, College of Veterinary Medicine.   After graduation in 2012 she practiced at a large, multidoctor veterinary hospital in Dedham, Maine.  She joined SJVH after relocating to the St. Augustine area. 

Her veterinary interests include surgery and internal medicine. She is an accomplished emergency medicine clinician having worked in several veterinary emergency clinics providing critical care and surgical intervention for emergent cases.  Her personal interests are sailing, backpacking and horsebackriding. She enjoys life with her rescued Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.
